Blackhead One Room School House & Church

Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm

Located in Blackhead Village, near Cape Spear, the Blackhead Museum is located in a beautifully restored one room school and church originally constructed in 1879. The building is designated as a provincial heritage structure.  Our friendly guide will show you the school bell that the teacher would ring to summon the children to class and the wooden desks. A wealth of family history is stored in the genealogy exhibit which also includes a self-guided walking tour.
